The SET index fell to midweek amid concerns about uncertainty in US-China trade talks, as President Trump said that there is a long way to go in sealing a trade deal and could impose new tariffs on China if he wants. However, the SET recovered at the end of the week in line with regional stock markets, after New York Fed President added credence to market expectations that the Fed will cut rates this month.
